About this tour

This call looks at the quieter corners of the Luxembourg Gardens, away from the main fountain and lawns. Chloé starts among the fixed chess tables, where the same regulars have played for years, before reaching a small orchard growing apple varieties found nowhere else in the city. The session focuses on the park's smaller, less-photographed details.

Chloé opens near the chess tables with a short sound check. She walks at a calm, unhurried pace toward the orchard, answering questions about the garden's history as they arrive, and sends a short note on quieter times to visit.

It suits anyone who has already seen the garden's main fountain and wants its quieter corners instead. It also works well for a slow, relaxed morning.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Paris before heading out.

  2. Chess tables 15 min

The camera passes rows of fixed chess tables, and Chloé explains how the same regulars have played here for so long that a few tables are considered unofficially reserved.

  3. Luxembourg orchard 15 min

Further into the gardens, the camera reaches a small orchard, and Chloé points out varieties of apple grown nowhere else in the city.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Time to ask anything about Paris: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 3 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Soupe à l'oignon and Montmartre, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.

  • Times are shown in Paris time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
