About this tour
This session goes inside the covered walkways above the Terrace Houses at Ephesus, the excavated homes of the city's wealthier residents. You see floor mosaics, painted walls and the layout of rooms that survived under centuries of collapsed roofing. Ahmet explains how archaeologists dated the different layers of decoration.
The call starts with a short sound check outside the entrance, then follows the raised walkway room by room while Ahmet answers questions about what is original and what has been restored. He sends a short reading list afterwards for anyone who wants to go further.
This suits viewers who already know the outline of Ephesus and want a closer look at daily life. It is a good second session after a first walk through the main street and theatre.

Terrace House courtyard 21 min
The camera moves through a roofed walkway above the excavated houses, looking down at floor mosaics and wall paintings still in their original rooms, protected from the weather by the modern structure above.

You see a dining room wall where the original paint has survived in red and black panels, and Ahmet explains which patterns were common in wealthy Ephesian homes of the period.
