About this tour
This session moves between the Real Alcázar's courtyards and gardens and the interior of Seville Cathedral, ending at the Giralda tower. You see the Mudéjar arches of the Patio de las Doncellas, the Baths of Doña María de Padilla and the tomb of Columbus. It is Seville's royal and religious history shown side by side.
The guide opens with a sound check, then moves from the palace courtyards into the cathedral, pausing at each stop to explain what changed hands and when. Questions come in live, and a short list of what was covered follows by message afterwards.
This suits anyone planning a visit who wants the history laid out before going. It also suits viewers who have visited both buildings before but never had a guide explain them properly.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 10 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Seville before heading out.
-
Patio de las Doncellas 21 min
In the Patio de las Doncellas, seen from the courtyard, the camera takes in the Mudéjar arches built for Pedro I. The guide explains how Christian and Islamic craftsmen worked side by side on this palace.
-
Alcázar gardens 21 min
Walking through the Alcázar gardens, the guide stops at the Baths of Doña María de Padilla, the vaulted rainwater cisterns below the terraces. He explains the legends that grew up around them long after they stopped being baths.
-
Seville Cathedral interior 21 min
Inside Seville Cathedral, the camera takes in the tomb of Columbus, held aloft by four pallbearers, and the vast gilded altarpiece behind the main chapel. The guide explains the disputed claim that these are actually Columbus's remains.
-
The Giralda 21 min
From outside, the camera looks up at the Giralda, the cathedral's bell tower. The guide explains why it was built as a minaret first, climbed by ramp rather than stairs so a horse could reach the top.
-
Your questions 18 min
Time to ask anything about Seville: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 8 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Salmorejo and Triana, worth a slower look.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
