About this tour

This session looks up at City Hall's tower from ground level, explaining what the climb to the top actually shows across the city, since the camera stays at the base. You see the tower's scale and the waterfront path circling it. I point out how visible this landmark is from elsewhere in the city.

We walk the path around the tower's base at an easy pace, pausing to look up from a few different angles. I take questions on the building and the view as we go. The session runs a little shorter, focused on this one detail.

This suits anyone who enjoyed the harbour session and wants more on the tower specifically. It also works as orientation before exploring the rest of Kungsholmen.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Stockholm before heading out.

  2. The tower's base 15 min

You see the tower rising over a hundred metres, topped with the Three Crowns symbol. I explain what the view from the top actually takes in across the city.

  3. The waterfront path below 15 min

The camera follows the path around the building's base, and I point out how the tower serves as an orientation point from almost anywhere in central Stockholm.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Time to ask anything about Stockholm: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 3 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Herring and Gamla Stan, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Stockholm time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
