Titanic Quarter's waterfront, then and now
Highlights
- A dry dock, empty but still striking
- Apartments where shipyards once stood
- A waterfront changed within decades
- Old structures surviving new development
- Titanic Quarter's story beyond the museum
About this tour
This session walks the Titanic Quarter's waterfront, looking at a preserved dry dock before turning to the modern development built around it. You see the dock's striking scale even without a ship inside it, and the apartments and offices that have replaced the working shipyards nearby. Aoife explains how completely this stretch of the city changed use within a couple of decades.
After a short sound check at the dock, the walk continues along the water at an easy pace, with questions welcomed throughout. Aoife answers as you go and sends a short note afterwards on which older structures still survive nearby.
It suits anyone interested in how a city repurposes its industrial waterfront. It also works well alongside a Titanic Belfast session for fuller context.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
