About this tour
This call is a planning session for a trip up to the Carso plateau above Trieste, focused on Grotta Gigante, one of the largest tourist caves in the world. I talk through the routes up from the city on a shared map and explain what the Bora wind can mean for a visit depending on the season. By the end you have a plan matched to the weather and your own schedule.
We start with a sound check, then I bring up the map and talk through the bus routes and timing options. You can stop me with questions about the cave or the wind as we go, and I adjust the plan to fit your trip. Afterwards I send the plan again in writing.
It suits anyone planning a trip up to the plateau who wants local advice on timing and transport. It also works well booked a day or two before you go.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
