About this tour
This session is an evening cicchetti crawl between bacari in Cannaregio and around the Rialto, starting with a traghetto crossing of the Grand Canal. You see baccalà mantecato, sarde in saor, folpetti and polpette laid out on the counters, and a spritz mixed the Venetian way. The guide, a fourth-generation Venetian, shares family stories at each stop along the way.
After the sound check, the walk moves bar to bar, pausing at each counter for questions about the small plates or the family history behind the route. A short list of the bars and dishes shown is sent once the call ends.
This suits anyone who plans an evening around small plates and wine, or misses the sound of a Venetian bacaro.
Included
- Live video session with a local guide
- A close look at the dishes and where locals buy them
- A short list of places and dishes to try later
Not included

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
