  • Gozo's farmland seen from the old walls
  • An evening view over the whole island
  • Villages picked out from the ramparts
  • A quiet close to a Citadella visit

About this tour

This short session climbs from a narrow lane inside the Citadella to the outer ramparts, looking out over Gozo's farmland toward the sea as the evening light changes. You see the view widen in two stages, from a gap between houses to the open ramparts, over the same pattern of small stone-walled fields. It does not move beyond this one climb.

I hold the phone steady at the wall while the light drops, turning slowly to cover the wider view, and I answer questions about the fields and villages visible from here.

This suits anyone who wants a quiet, wide view of Gozo rather than a walking session. It also works well as a closing stop after an earlier Citadella tour.

  • Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Victoria (Gozo) before heading out.

  2. A Lane Above the Fields 15 min

Partway up a stepped lane inside the Citadella, a gap between the houses opens onto Gozo's farmland from a lower angle, and I compare how the view changes as the climb continues toward the ramparts.

  3. Citadella Ramparts 15 min

You see Gozo's low farmland spread out toward the sea from the outer ramparts, and I point out the pattern of small stone-walled fields that has barely changed in generations.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Time to ask anything about Victoria (Gozo): prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 3 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Bigilla (broad bean dip) and Cittadella, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Malta time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
