About this tour

This walk crosses Kutaisi's nineteenth-century White Bridge and follows the streets just beyond it. You see the Rioni River splitting the old town in two, then a lane of houses with wooden balconies on the far bank. It is a short, easy introduction to the city's centre.

We start right on the bridge itself, since the river view works well there, then move slowly along the lane so the balconies read clearly. I answer questions about the town's layout as we go.

It suits a first stop in Kutaisi before the hill climbs and monasteries further out, and anyone who prefers a gentle walk to start with.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Kutaisi before heading out.

  2. Crossing the White Bridge 15 min

The camera crosses the nineteenth-century White Bridge over the Rioni, and I point out how the river splits the old town into two distinct halves.

  3. Riverside lanes on the far bank 15 min

We follow a lane of older houses just off the river, and I point out the wooden balconies typical of Kutaisi's residential streets.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Time to ask anything about Kutaisi: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 3 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Khinkali and Ukimerioni Hill, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.

  • Times are shown in Tbilisi time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
