About this tour
This session covers the Mole Antonelliana, a building begun as a synagogue and now home to the National Cinema Museum. You see the tower's exterior, the glass lift climbing through the spiral galleries inside, and a selection of props and posters from Italian film history. Francesca, who worked at the museum before guiding, explains the building's unusual history as thoroughly as its current use.
She starts outside with the tower's construction history before riding the lift partway up. Inside, she moves slowly along the curved galleries, giving each object its own explanation and taking questions throughout.
This suits anyone interested in either architecture or film history, since the session gives proper weight to both. It works well as a longer, single session covering the building properly.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
