About this tour
This session walks the length of Nyhavn, the 17th-century harbour lined with colourful townhouses and moored wooden boats. You see the row of facades up close and the boats resting along the canal. Nils explains how a working sailors' harbour became Copenhagen's best known image.
The walk moves at an easy pace along one side of the canal, timed for quieter morning light. Nils answers questions about specific houses and their history as we go.
This suits anyone starting a first visit to Copenhagen. It pairs well with his session on the canal's fires and rebuildings.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
