About this tour
This sunset session covers the windmills above Chora and the waterfront houses of Little Venice below them. Despoina explains how the windmills once ground the island's wheat and why they were built high enough to catch the strong summer winds. She then walks down to the water as the light changes, showing the balconies that give Little Venice its name.
Despoina checks the connection at the windmills before the sun gets too low, then walks down through the lanes toward the water so the light stays good for most of the call. She answers questions as she goes and pauses at the balconies for a longer look if anyone asks. A short list of what was seen follows the session.
This suits travellers who want the island's two best known views explained properly rather than seen only in passing. It also works well as a first orientation session before exploring Chora further.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
