About this tour
This tour walks the ancient cemetery of Kerameikos, starting at the Sacred Gate and following the Street of Tombs to the courtyard outside the small museum on site. Eleni reads the surviving inscriptions where the light allows and explains what each type of grave marker meant to the family who paid for it. The session stays close to the stones so small details come through clearly on camera.
Eleni checks the sound before she starts walking, then moves slowly between the tombs so nothing rushes past the lens. She answers questions as they come up rather than waiting for a fixed point, and if the site is busy she waits for a gap before filming a monument closely. A short written list follows the call with the names of the tombs you saw.
It suits travellers with an interest in ancient burial customs or classical sculpture who want more depth than a general history overview. It also pairs well for anyone who has already seen the Acropolis and wants a quieter site.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
