I grew up two streets from Kapnikarea, the small Byzantine church that sits below street level in the middle of Ermou while traffic runs around it, and I still stop there most mornings on my way to work. On camera I hold my phone low and close to the stone so you see the brickwork and carved doorways at eye level rather than from a distance. I studied Byzantine history at university and I like showing people the churches everyone walks past without noticing. During a call I pause often so questions can come in, and I read the old inscriptions aloud whenever the light lets me.
