Alazani valley vineyards from the town walls
Highlights
- The Alazani valley from the walls
- Vineyard rows named slope by slope
- Caucasus foothills on a clear day
- Eighteenth-century wall gaps as a viewpoint
- Kakheti's wine country from above
About this tour
This session looks out from Sighnaghi's eighteenth-century walls across the whole Alazani valley below. You see the vineyards spread out toward the Caucasus foothills, and I trace which slopes belong to which family estate. It is a still, wide session built entirely around the view rather than a walk through the town.
We find a clear gap in the wall and stay there for most of the call, since the view does the work once the camera is steady. I answer questions about the valley and the wine it grows as they come up.
It suits anyone who wants Kakheti's wine country explained from above before visiting a cellar on the ground, and travellers who prefer a calm session to a long walk.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Tbilisi time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
