Tea Machavariani

My family has grown grapes in the Alazani valley below Sighnaghi for three generations, so the view from the town walls is one I have looked at my whole life. I started guiding on video almost by accident, showing a cousin abroad the harvest one October, and people kept asking to join. Now I climb to one of the viewpoints along the walls with my phone and let the vineyards do most of the talking, pointing out which slopes belong to which family. I answer questions about the wine itself as they come, since that is usually what people are really curious about.
