About this tour
This session follows a Kakhetian vineyard during rtveli, the autumn grape harvest. You watch grapes picked straight off the vine, then follow them to the stone press and the qvevri jars buried nearby. It is a close look at how Kakhetian wine actually starts, months before it reaches a bottle.
We begin among the vines while picking is underway, then move to the press once a full basket is ready. I explain each step as it happens and take questions throughout, and I send a short note on the process afterward.
It suits anyone curious about qvevri winemaking beyond the finished glass, and it pairs well with a viewpoint session earlier in a Sighnaghi visit.
Included
- Live video session with a local guide
- A close look at the dishes and where locals buy them
- A short list of places and dishes to try later
Not included
- Food and drinks shown on camera
- Travel to the city

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
