The Weavers' Bastion and the old walls
Highlights
- A bastion built by weavers
- Stonework from several centuries
- A defensive line, still standing
- Guild history, explained in detail
- Brasov's walls, walked in order
About this tour
This session follows Brasov's surviving city walls, starting at the Weavers' Bastion. You see the tower once defended by the weavers' guild, then a run of wall toward the next tower, where different building phases are visible in the stonework. The walk stays close to the old defensive line throughout.
We open with a short sound check at the bastion. I keep a formal, detailed pace and take questions about the guild system as we go. Afterwards I send a short note on which guilds held which towers.
This suits anyone with a serious interest in medieval fortification. It also works well paired with the Piața Sfatului walk.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
