A wine call: what to look for on a Tbilisi label
Highlights
- A short call on wine labels
- Region and grape names explained
- Qvevri versus standard winemaking, compared
- A few bottles shown on camera
- A list of names to look for
About this tour
This is a short call about reading Georgian wine labels rather than a live walk. We go through what the region, grape and vessel type on a bottle actually mean. It works from a few bottles I keep at home.
I show two or three labels side by side and explain the differences, then answer whatever questions come up about a specific bottle. We end with a short list of names worth looking for.
It suits anyone heading to a wine shop or restaurant afterwards, and travellers who want to choose confidently rather than guess.

- A 30-minute call with a local guide

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
