About this tour

This session walks Calea Victoriei, Bucharest's main Belle Époque boulevard. You see a run of its older buildings before the camera settles on one ornate facade typical of the period, finishing near Revolution Square, where the boulevard connects to the events of 1989. The walk covers a substantial stretch of the street.

We open with a short sound check at the boulevard's start. I keep a warm, detailed pace and take questions about the buildings as we go. Afterwards I send a short note on the architectural styles we spotted.

This suits anyone wanting a broad sense of Bucharest's grander architecture. It also works well paired with the Athenaeum session.

  • Live video walk with a local guide
  • Questions to your guide all the way
  • A short list of places to visit later

  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 9 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
