The National Gallery's collection, a call
Highlights
- Highlights from the Irish and European collection
- A researcher's own notes on the works
- Images shared and discussed live
- Context before your own gallery visit
- A focused look at specific paintings
About this tour
This short call looks at highlights from Dublin's National Gallery collection, using images and research notes rather than a live gallery walk. I explain what makes particular paintings significant and answer questions about specific artists or periods as they come up. It suits someone who wants real depth on the collection before or instead of visiting in a group.
After a quick sound check I share a few images to start, then the conversation follows whatever period or artist interests you most. I keep the pace conversational and send a short list of works to look for afterwards if you do visit yourself.
It suits art enthusiasts planning a visit who want proper background first, and anyone who cannot make a live session but still wants depth.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
