A farming family's edge of the forest
Highlights
- One family's land across generations
- Farming right at the forest's edge
- Photographs of slopes rarely seen
- Rural life beside a university city
- A quiet conversation, not a walk
About this tour
This short call is a close look at farming on the edge of the Black Forest, told through one family's own land. You see photographs of the slopes and hear what has changed and what has stayed the same across generations. It is a focused conversation rather than a walk through the city.
I open with a quick sound check, then talk through the photographs and the family's history on the land before taking your questions. Afterwards I send a short note on the crops and forest management we discussed.
This suits anyone curious about rural life just outside a German city. It also works well as a quieter add-on to a Schlossberg session.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
