The palm-lined walk to the old harbour
Highlights
- A promenade built in phases
- Palm trees the length of the seafront
- Marina and old harbour, connected
- Architecture that shifts along the way
- A steady seafront walking route
About this tour
This session walks the length of Limassol's Molos promenade, a palm-lined seafront path connecting the modern marina to the old harbour. You see how the promenade was extended in phases and how the buildings along it change character as it goes. It stays on the public seafront path throughout.
I keep a steady pace the whole way, pointing out where each phase of the promenade's construction begins and ends. Questions come naturally as the scenery shifts along the route.
This suits anyone who wants a straightforward seafront walk with some history attached. It also works well early in the morning or toward sunset.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide
- Questions to your guide all the way
- A short list of places to visit later
Not included
- Internet connection
- Travel to the city

A short list to keep 4 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Koupepia (stuffed vine leaves) and Agios Nikolaos, worth a slower look.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
