About this tour
This session follows Mtskheta's food stalls from the cathedral wall to a small family wine cellar nearby. You watch shoti bread come out of a clay oven, then move into a courtyard where qvevri sit buried in the ground. It is a short, close look at how bread and wine are still made a few steps from the cathedral.
We start at the bread stall, where the heat from the oven makes for a striking shot, then walk the short distance to the cellar. The owner talks us through the qvevri while I translate, and you can ask questions as we go.
It suits anyone who wants a taste of daily Mtskheta beyond the monuments, and pairs well with a cathedral walk earlier the same day.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
