Nino Kapanadze

I grew up in the shadow of Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, close enough to hear its bells every day growing up. I trained as a guide inside the cathedral itself before I thought about a camera, and now I carry my phone up to Jvari at the hour when light hits the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi and the valley turns gold. On a call I slow down at the cathedral doors so you can see the carved stone properly, then let the confluence do the rest of the talking. Questions come naturally once people see the rivers meet below Jvari.
