About this tour
This walk covers the square and courtyard around Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the eleventh-century church said to hold Christ's robe. You see the stalls selling bread and churchkhela outside the walls, then the carved thirteenth-century gate that marks the old boundary. The final stretch stays in the courtyard, where the cathedral's scale is easiest to take in on camera.
I open with a look at the market stalls before we move to the walls themselves, and I keep the pace slow enough for questions along the way. We finish at the gate, where I answer whatever came up during the walk.
It suits a first stop in Mtskheta before the hill climbs to Jvari, and anyone drawn to the story behind Georgia's holiest cathedral.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
