La Malagueta beach at sunrise
Highlights
- A shoreline before the crowds
- Port cranes in the background
- Colour shifting in real time
- A resort inside a working city
- A calm start to the day
About this tour
This session shows La Malagueta beach at sunrise, from the nearly empty shoreline to the sky and water changing colour as the sun climbs. You see the port cranes at one end, a reminder this beach sits inside a working city rather than a resort built purely for tourism. It is a short, calm session built entirely around the early light.
We start looking along the shoreline with a quick check of the light, then hold steady as the colours shift, keeping the talking light throughout. I answer questions about the beach and the view as they come up.
This suits early risers and anyone who wants a calm start before a busier day of sightseeing. It works only at sunrise, so timing matters more than for most sessions.
Included

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Malaga before heading out.
-
The empty shoreline 15 min
The camera holds on the shoreline just after sunrise, almost empty before the day's crowds arrive, and I point out the port cranes visible at one end of the beach, a reminder this is a working city as much as a resort.
-
The changing light 15 min
You see the sky and water shift colour over a few minutes as the sun climbs higher, and I explain how quickly this particular view changes compared with a beach facing a different direction.
-
Your questions 7 min
Time to ask anything about Malaga: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Migas malagueñas and Pedregalejo, worth a slower look.
Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Madrid time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
