About this tour
This session shows the old town after dark, centred on Piazzetta Santa Chiara and the corso that leads off it. You see how a quiet daytime square fills with students and residents once the sun goes down. The camera stays on the public streets and squares throughout.
I begin as the square starts to fill, hold on a few tables and doorways, then walk the corso slowly so you can take in the atmosphere. I take questions as we go and send a short list of the streets we covered afterwards.
It suits anyone who wants to see the social side of Lecce rather than only its monuments. It works well booked after one of my daytime history sessions in the same squares.

Piazzetta Santa Chiara 21 min
The camera settles on the small square as tables fill up outside, and I explain how the space turns from quiet by day to one of the busiest corners of the old town after dark.

Walking down the corso, you see the strip of bars and the crowds gathering along it, and I point out a few buildings worth noticing above the shopfronts.
