The Valletta Waterfront, from warehouses to restaurants
Highlights
- Merchant warehouses turned restaurants
- Original stone facades, still intact
- A harbour shared by old and new vessels
- Valletta's working waterfront history
- Eighteenth-century buildings, modern use
About this tour
This session walks the Valletta Waterfront, a row of eighteenth-century merchant warehouses now converted into restaurants and shops while keeping their original stone facades. You see the buildings up close and the working harbour they face. The camera stays on the public waterfront throughout.
I walk the row of warehouses at an easy pace, explaining their original use, then look out at the harbour for a wider view. I take questions throughout and send a short note on the waterfront's history afterwards.
It suits anyone interested in how old industrial buildings can find new uses. It also works well before a Grand Harbour viewpoint session nearby.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
