Local produce under the cathedral
Highlights
- Seasonal produce, explained item by item
- What grows locally and when
- A conversation, not a market walk
- Local food beyond the tourist stalls
- Freiburg's growing seasons, up close
About this tour
This short call is a conversation about seasonal produce from the Münstermarkt rather than a walk through the square itself. You see what was bought that morning and hear why certain vegetables only appear for a few weeks each year. It is a focused talk on local food rather than sightseeing.
I open by showing what is in front of me, then explain the growing season behind each item before taking your questions. Afterwards I send a short note on where to find the best of what we discussed.
This suits anyone interested in local food systems rather than only tourist stops. It also works well as a shorter companion to the full market walk.

Questions about this tour
What will the call cover?
The guide talks you through Freiburg: where to go, what to eat, and answers to whatever you ask.
What happens if the call drops?
The guide will try you again straight away.
Can I ask the guide questions during the session, or is it a fixed script?
Anything, any time. Sessions leave room for your own questions throughout, not just at the end.

No. This is a conversation: the guide describes the dishes and where to find them, so you can try them yourself whenever suits you.
How it works
- Your guide calls the number you give at booking.
- We speak over a video call rather than walking anywhere. I keep produce from that morning's market in frame while we talk.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
