About this tour
This session covers the Valley of the Butterflies, a shaded gorge where thousands of Jersey tiger moths gather each summer, drawn by the scent of resin from storax trees. Foteini walks the wooded path in before reaching the point where the moths cluster thickest along the stream. She explains why loud noise is banned here and how the population has been protected in recent years.
Foteini checks her connection at the valley entrance before walking in slowly, keeping her voice low near the moths. She answers questions quietly as she goes and points out individual moths where the camera can catch them clearly. A short list of what was seen follows the call.
This suits travellers interested in nature and conservation who want a calmer, shaded session. It also works well as a break from the coast on a hot summer day.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
