I have volunteered with the conservation effort at the Valley of the Butterflies for a few summers now, so I know exactly how to keep my voice down and my pace slow enough not to disturb the moths while still narrating clearly on camera. I also grew up shopping with my mother along Socratous Street, which is why I can point out which stalls have traded longest and which patterns on the local ceramics actually go back to Ottoman times. I keep both sessions calm and answer questions as they come.
