Ruzafa in murals and grid streets
Highlights
- Large-scale murals on old village walls
- A tight street grid from a former town
- Russafa's independent, absorbed-village character
- Contemporary art on everyday buildings
- A neighbourhood built before it was Valencia
About this tour
This walk looks at Ruzafa's murals and street layout rather than its market stalls. You see large-scale wall paintings and the tight grid of streets laid out when Russafa was still a separate village. It is a focused look at the neighbourhood's independent character.
I move along the grid at an easy pace, stopping at each mural in turn, and take your questions on the area's recent history throughout. Afterwards I send a short list of the streets we covered.
This suits anyone interested in contemporary street art or how a former village becomes a city neighbourhood. It also pairs well with a session on Benimaclet for a fuller picture of Valencia's absorbed villages.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
