About this tour
This session climbs Monte Brè, said to be the sunniest mountain in Switzerland, from the funicular base to a small artists' village at the summit. You see the ascent itself, the village's narrow streets long favoured by painters, and a summit view over Lugano from the opposite side of the lake to Monte San Salvatore. Davide explains the microclimate behind the mountain's reputation.
He rides up first, explaining the climate as the car climbs, before walking the village streets at an easy pace. He answers questions about both the geography and the artists who settled here throughout.
This suits anyone who has already seen San Salvatore and wants the complementary view from the other side. It also suits anyone with an interest in the small artistic community at the summit.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
