About this tour
This session walks the gardens of the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos after dark, when the reflecting pools and fountains are lit and the crowds have gone. You see the straight lines of orange trees and the water lit in sequence along the main axis. It is a short, calm route built for the evening light rather than for covering ground.
We open with a quick check of the low light, then move slowly along the pools, pausing twice where the lighting changes. I keep talking to a minimum here since the setting carries the session, and send a short note on the garden's layout afterward.
This suits anyone who has already seen the Alcázar by day and wants a different mood, or a traveller looking for a calm evening call rather than a dense history session. It works particularly well in the hotter months when evenings are the better time to be outdoors.

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Cordoba before heading out.
-
The lit fountains 15 min
The camera moves along the long reflecting pools as the fountains light up in sequence, and I explain how this lighting show developed from the site's original irrigation channels.
-
The orange grove 15 min
You see rows of orange trees lit from below, planted in straight lines that continue a garden pattern going back to the site's Moorish origins.
-
Your questions 7 min
Time to ask anything about Cordoba: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Berenjenas con miel and San Basilio, worth a slower look.
Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Madrid time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
