About this tour

This session covers Plaza de la Corredera early in the morning, as the stalls under its arcades set up for the day, showing a working square rather than a monument. You see the rectangular shape that once hosted bullfights and public events. The route stays inside the square itself, at the hour it feels most local.

We begin with a quick check by one of the arcades, then move slowly around the perimeter as stalls open, pausing wherever there is something worth a closer look. I answer questions as we go and send a short note on the square's history afterward.

This suits early risers and anyone who prefers markets to monuments, as well as travellers wanting a sense of daily life in the city before the bigger sights open. It runs early, so it fits well before a longer session later in the day.

Included

  • Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Cordoba before heading out.

  2. The arcaded square 15 min

The camera crosses the rectangular square lined on all sides by arcaded buildings, once used for bullfights and public trials, and I explain why the shape has stayed unchanged for centuries.

  3. The morning stalls 15 min

You see the stalls setting up under the arcades, mixing fresh produce with household goods, and I point out which corners locals actually shop at rather than visitors.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Time to ask anything about Cordoba: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 3 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Mazamorra and Centro, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Madrid time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
