Lipscani's hidden courtyards
Highlights
- A street that has shifted eras
- A courtyard away from the crowds
- Details a quick walk would miss
- Lipscani's quieter side
- The Old Town, beyond the main street
About this tour
This session walks Lipscani, Bucharest's old commercial street, and a quieter courtyard just off it. You see the main street's shifting history between trade, decline and restoration, then step into a hidden courtyard with details a passer-by would never notice. The session stays within a short stretch of the Old Town.
We open with a short sound check on the main street. I keep a brief, informative pace and take questions as we go. Afterwards I send a short note on the courtyard's history.
This suits anyone wanting the Old Town's quieter side rather than only its busy main streets. It also works well paired with the Stavropoleos Church session.

Good to know

- Times are shown in Bucharest time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
