About this tour

This session follows the Guadalquivir from the Triana riverbank to the Torre del Oro, a medieval riverside tower seen from the public promenade outside it. You see the water at its calmest, early before the day's crowds arrive. The walk stays flat and steady the whole way, following the river rather than cutting through streets.

We start on the Triana side with a quick check of the morning light, then follow the water across to the tower, keeping a relaxed, steady pace throughout. I answer questions as we walk and send a short note on the tower's old chain defence afterward.

This suits early risers and anyone who prefers a calm walk to a dense history session. It also works well as a gentle first call before a longer, busier day.

  • Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Seville before heading out.

  2. The Triana bank 21 min

The camera moves along the Triana riverbank in the quiet early morning, and I point out the ceramics tiles set into a nearby wall marking the neighbourhood's craft tradition.

  3. Torre del Oro, from the promenade 21 min

We reach the twelve-sided riverside tower from the public promenade outside it, and I explain how it once held one end of a chain stretched across the river to block ships.

  4. Your questions 9 min

Time to ask anything about Seville: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 4 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Espinacas con garbanzos and Barrio Santa Cruz, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Madrid time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
