The Botanical Garden, an early walk
Highlights
- One of Romania's oldest gardens
- Plantings from the 1800s
- A glasshouse through the colder months
- A calm loop outside the walls
- Sibiu's quieter corner, on camera
About this tour
This session walks Sibiu's Botanical Garden, one of the oldest in Romania. You follow the paths through its nineteenth-century plantings before the camera reaches the glasshouse, where I point out a few plants kept there through the colder months. The session covers a single loop of the garden.
We open with a short sound check at the entrance. I keep a formal, steady pace and take questions about the garden's history as we go. Afterwards I send a short note on the best times to visit through the year.
This suits anyone wanting a calm session away from the old town's crowds. It also works well early in the day before busier walks.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

Good to know

- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Bucharest time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.

- Sessions run in small groups, up to 8 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
