The city of love: Sighnaghi's balconies and registry office
Highlights
- Carved wooden balconies, ironwork detail
- A registry office open around the clock
- How Sighnaghi became the city of love
- A lane of nineteenth-century houses
- A lighter, story-driven old town walk
About this tour
This walk follows a lane of carved wooden balconies to Sighnaghi's round-the-clock wedding registry office. You see the ironwork patterns on the houses first, then the small office itself, and I explain how the town earned its reputation as the city of love. It is a light, story-driven walk through one corner of the old town.
We move slowly along the balconies so the ironwork reads clearly on camera, then reach the registry office toward the end. I keep the story quick and to the point, and there is time for questions once we stop.
It suits anyone who wants a lighter, story-based walk between the wine and history sessions, and it works well in the evening light.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
