About this tour
This session focuses on what actually survived Parte Vieja's 1813 fire, starting at the Baroque facade of Santa María del Coro. You see one of the few buildings that predates the fire and, nearby, streets rebuilt afterwards in a more uniform style. Leire explains how to tell the two apart.
The walk moves from the basilica to a rebuilt street close by, with Leire pointing out the architectural differences directly. She answers questions about the fire and the old town's reconstruction as they come up.
This suits anyone who wants a clearer sense of what is genuinely old in Parte Vieja. It also pairs well with Leire's San Telmo session for a fuller history of the old town.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
