Poznan Palm House, among the palms

- One of Europe's largest palm houses
- Tropical plants under glass since the 1910s
- A separate house for cacti and desert plants
- A handful of unusual specimens

About this tour
This session walks through Poznan's Palm House, one of the largest in Europe, from the main hall of palms and tropical plants to a separate section for cacti and desert species. You see the scale of the glasshouse and a handful of its more unusual specimens. It is a green, quiet session away from the old town's stone streets.
I start with a sound check under the main dome, then walk between the palms towards the cactus section, pointing out specimens along the way. Questions are welcome throughout, and I send a short note afterwards on the collection's history.
This suits anyone who enjoys botanical gardens or wants a calmer, greener session. It also works well on a rainy day when outdoor walks are less appealing.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
