Flavours along the main pedestrian street
Highlights
- Kebapche, explained by a local
- Banitsa, filling by filling
- Plovdiv's food, street by street
- A bakery counter, up close
- A taste of the main street
About this tour
This session shows Plovdiv's food along its main pedestrian street, starting at a grill serving kebapche. You see the grill itself, then a counter selling banitsa with a few different fillings typical of a local bakery. The session stays along a short stretch of the main street.
We open with a short sound check near the grill. I keep a brief, relaxed pace and take questions about the dishes as we go. Afterwards I send a short list of what we saw being prepared.
This suits anyone curious about local food away from restaurant menus. It also works well paired with the Dzhumaya Mosque walk.
Included
- Live video session with a local guide
- A close look at the dishes and where locals buy them
- A short list of places and dishes to try later
Not included
- Food and drinks shown on camera
- Travel to the city

Good to know

- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.

- Sessions run in small groups, up to 8 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
