About this tour
This session traces Georgian Dublin alongside the story of the 1916 Rising. The camera moves from bullet marks on the Fusiliers' Arch to the Georgian doors of Merrion Square, past Leinster House and the General Post Office where the Rising was led from, and ends at the Garden of Remembrance. Architecture and history sit side by side on the same streets.
After a sound check, the walk covers the stops above in order, with the guide taking questions about both the buildings and the events tied to them throughout. A short timeline of Easter week follows once the call closes.
This suits anyone with an interest in Irish independence history who wants it tied to specific buildings still standing today. It also suits anyone who enjoys Georgian architecture and wants the history layered in alongside it.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
