About this tour
This session follows the 1944 Warsaw Uprising through the city's rebuilt streets, from the Uprising Monument and a sewer entrance once used by insurgents to the reconstructed Old Town and a surviving stretch of the ghetto wall on Sienna street. The guide explains how the Old Town was rebuilt from paintings and photographs after the war. It stays close to what actually happened where it happened.
The call opens with a sound check, then moves between the three stops at a measured pace, with time to take in each site before moving on. Questions are welcome throughout, and a short list of dates and names follows once the call ends.
This suits anyone with a personal or historical interest in the uprising, whether or not a visit to Warsaw is planned. It also suits anyone who wants the rebuilt Old Town explained honestly.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
