About this tour

This session moves through Triana at evening, from the Mercado de Triana to tapas bars and a ceramics workshop on Calle Alfarería. You see the ruins of a castle beneath the market floor and the Torre del Oro lit up across the river from Calle Betis. It is Seville's other bank, shown through its food and its pottery.

The guide opens with a sound check, then walks from the market into the bars as evening sets in, stop by stop. Questions come in as the walk goes, and a short list of the bars and workshops follows by message afterwards.

This suits anyone who wants Seville's food scene from across the river rather than the tourist centre. It also suits viewers curious about the city's ceramics tradition.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 10 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Seville before heading out.

  2. Mercado de Triana 21 min

Inside the Mercado de Triana, the camera passes over a glass floor showing the ruins of the old Castillo de San Jorge beneath the stalls. The guide explains what the castle was used for before the market was built on top.

  3. Pringá and espinacas con garbanzos 21 min

At a tapas bar nearby, the guide points out a pringá montadito, shredded slow-cooked meats in a roll, alongside espinacas con garbanzos, spinach with chickpeas. He explains how the second dish traces back to Seville's Moorish kitchens.

  4. Cold manzanilla 21 min

The camera settles at a bar with the day's tally chalked directly onto the counter. The guide has a glass of cold manzanilla from Sanlúcar, explaining how this bone-dry sherry differs from the fino served across the river.

  5. Calle Betis and Calle Alfarería 21 min

At dusk, the camera looks along Calle Betis to the Torre del Oro lit up across the river. The guide finishes at a ceramics workshop on Calle Alfarería, explaining how Triana's pottery tradition shaped the tiles seen across Seville.

  6. Your questions 18 min

Time to ask anything about Seville: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  7. A short list to keep 8 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Fino sherry and Barrio Santa Cruz, worth a slower look.

  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.

  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
