Cześć, I am Aga. My family comes from Podhale, the mountain region near Zakopane, and my grandmother taught me to make pierogi when I could barely reach the table. I moved to Kraków to study Italian philology, worked as a waitress in half the restaurants in Kazimierz and spent a year in Bologna, where I learned that Italians and Poles argue about food in exactly the same way. Now I run food tours and a vodka evening, because Polish food and drink deserve better than their reputation. I want you to taste real żurek, smoked oscypek cheese from my grandmother's village and pierogi made in the morning. I also cook at home a lot and post terrible photos of it. My partner is Italian and we have an ongoing competition about whose grandmother makes better dumplings. Today my sessions are live video walks through Krakow; you join from home, and I answer whatever you ask as we go.
