Aileen Docherty

The West End is where I've lived my whole adult life, so my sessions there come from actually walking these streets rather than research alone. On camera I like framing the university's Gothic towers from across Kelvingrove Park, since the whole scene looks almost too dramatic to be real on a normal day. I trained as an art teacher before guiding, so I bring a lot of that background into how I talk about Mackintosh's work around the city. Video suits me because I can hold a shot of a building long enough for its details to actually register.
