I am from Turin and spent fifteen years in the wine trade, selling Barolo and Barbaresco to importers in France, Switzerland and the UK. I know the Langhe hills cellar by cellar, and in autumn I also know where the truffle hunters go, although they would not thank me for saying so. From October to December I add the Alba truffle market. In the city I run a morning in the historic cafes: bicerin where it was first served in 1763, gianduiotti, and the Savoy history behind the arcades of Via Po. Turin is a serious, elegant city that does not shout about itself. Neither do I. These days you can join me from anywhere: I walk Turin live with my phone and answer questions on the spot.
