About this tour
This session is a chocolate and coffee morning through Turin's historic centre, from a café that has served Bicerin since 1763 to a chocolate maker and the arcades around Piazza San Carlo. You see gianduiotti and cremini being wrapped, and hear how vermouth and the arcaded cafés both trace back to the Savoy court. The route stays under cover for most of the walk, following the arcades that shelter Turin's older shops.
After the sound check, the guide moves counter to counter, explaining the history behind each drink and sweet, with time for your questions throughout. A short list of the cafés and shops named is sent once the call ends.
This suits anyone with a sweet tooth, or an interest in how a royal court shaped a city's food and drink.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
